Improving Cleanroom Efficiency & Eco-Friendly Packaging
2024-10-02 Recently, we implemented two new initiatives aimed at enhancing our sustainability efforts: a smart eco-mode in our cleanroom and a transition to eco-friendly packaging in our logistics processes.
Saving Energy in our Cleanroom
Our cleanroom is now equipped with a smart eco-mode that activates when the room is not in use, cutting energy consumption by 40% without compromising safety or performance.
Cleanrooms require strict air quality control, and human presence is the largest contributor to contamination, with hair and skin flakes being common pollutants. When the cleanroom is unoccupied, the system reduces airflow, conserving energy while maintaining cleanliness. The cleanroom now operates in eco-mode 70% of the time (perfectly in lighn with our 8-hour workday, 5 days a week schedule).
Eco-Friendly Packaging
In addition to our cleanroom advancements, we are improving the eco-friendliness of our packaging. We have replaced the bleached white cardboard boxes and plastic tape with unbleached cardboard and paper-based tape that uses plant-based adhesive. By switching to unbleached materials, we’re reducing our environmental impact and making recycling easier. The shift to paper tape also eliminates plastic contamination, further streamlining the recycling process.
